ROSEMALING WORKSHOP – SPRING 2023
We invite you to join us for a two-day rosemaling workshop led by Sonja Schmidt, in which we will paint a project in the traditional folk art style of Norway.
Beginners are welcome and will be guided through learning stroke technique, color selection and mixing, then moving on to painting a design onto a wood piece in oils, and will be able to take home their very own finished project to display!
Experienced learners may do the project provided or bring their own piece to work on, for a stimulative and interactive session in which we motivate and encourage one another to achieve our creative goals.
The workshop will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 22 and 23. The registration fee is $100 and participants will be e-mailed a list of required supplies as well as details on the project. Participants may bring their own painting kits and supplies, but supplies will also be available for purchase for convenience during the class.
