Join us on SATURDAY 7/29 at 8pm at the Aeronaut Cannery for LIVE MUSIC from THE TUMBLERS! The Tumblers bring the heartbeat of New Orleans, Old Soul, Reggae, and Rock to the Northeast and beyond! Making up The Tumblers is Shawn Meehan on drums, Jeff McAuliffe on bass and vocals, and Travis Nelson on guitar and vocals. Jamemurrell Stanley from Max Creek will also be joining the performance on percussion! Keep scrolling to learn more about these passionate group of musicians:

Shawn Meehan: Shawn has been a veteran of the New England music scene for many years. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he has made Boston his home since the 90’s. His influences and experience cover a broad spectrum of the musical tapestry. Touring and recording credits include: Eddie Kirkland, Johnny Rawls, Johnnie Marshall, Dezron Douglas, Clarence Spady, Mt. Washington Sextet and Big Band, Phil Guy, Richard Davis, Toni Lynn Washington, Erin Harpe, Rockin’ Vibration and Eight To The Bar

Jeff McAuliffe: Born and raised in New Orleans and the neighboring parishes, Jeff grew up listening to the music of Louis Armstrong, James Booker, and the Meters, as well as contemporary rock and pop. Since moving to New England he has performed and recorded with a versatile group of musicians including guitarists Julien Kasper and Dave Hinckley; afro-beat singer/guitarist Boubacar Diabate and Free Agent Records artist Brad Byrd. He continues to provide rhythmic, soulful bass accompaniment and vocals for various recording and performing artists.

Travis Nelson: Travis is a highly skilled guitarist with over a decade of experience, whose versatile style incorporates elements of jazz, rock, blues, and funk. With a profound love of improvisation, Travis creates captivating musical experiences that showcase his technical prowess and creative expression. Having honed his craft at Berklee College of Music, Travis has solidified his foundation in music theory, composition, and performance. His ability to seamlessly fuse different genres and infuse his performances with depth and emotion has earned him a dedicated following and recognition among fellow musicians.

Beyond his passion for performing, Travis holds a deep belief in the transformative power of music. Through his work as a music therapist, he creates healing and harmonious environments, helping others find solace and empowerment through musical expression. Whether captivating audiences with electrifying guitar solos or bringing comfort to those in need through music therapy sessions, Travis’ dedication to his craft and commitment to the power of music shine through in every endeavor.

Jamemurrell Stanley: Before Jamemurrell was able to walk or talk, he would lay on his back singing the rhythms that he heard while at drum and dance class with his mother. This was only the beginning. At the age of 14 Jamemurrell traveled to Senegal, West Africa to expand his knowledge of African culture and music. Soon after returning to the States he began studying under the Senegalese master drummer Ibraham Camara, the former drummer for the National Ballet of Senegal. He also studied under Jah Amen And Leon Mobley, students of Nigerian master drummer Babatunde Olatunji. All this time Jamemurrell was Building a reputation for himself and his music on the Boston music scene.

From 1999 to 2003 Jamemurrell attended Boston Arts Academy where he transformed himself into a total percussionist, familiarizing himself with many genres of music through artist and academic study. After graduation Jamemurrell traveled back to Senegal, this time for 6 months. He ventured deep into the countryside of the Casamance region to play accompaniment for Caro Diallo’s dance company, The Black Sofa Dance Company. Jamemurrel continues to study, play and teach traditional West African rhythms.
