South Shore Conservatory faculty, staff and students invite the community to join them on Sunday, April 24, beginning at 2 pm, for SSC for Peace, a family-friendly event to raise support and awareness for the people of Ukraine affected by the ongoing war. This event takes place at One Conservatory Drive, Hingham.
SSC for Peace is a faculty-driven event that uses the healing power of the arts to help raise funds for those impacted by the war. Designed with something in mind for all ages, the first part of the event includes activities for the whole family, such as family drum circles, Music Together® classes, accessible yoga, and crafts, and concludes with a 5 pm concert, featuring SSC faculty and students.
"We're humbled by the bravery, resilience and tremendous personal integrity of the Ukrainian people and the citizens of the World who stand alongside against this unspeakable aggression," said SSC President Robert Cinnante. "While it's impossible to comprehend the true extent of the humanitarian disaster when we are fortunate enough to wake up every morning in safety and under clear skies, this event is one small way that we here at SSC can stand in solidarity."
Suggested donation is $50 per family, with all donation amounts gratefully accepted. All proceeds go directly to UNICEF Ukrainian Relief. Those who would like to pay the day of the event are encouraged to bring a check made out to UNICEF.
