Hear ye, hear ye! It has been decreed that children shall be treated like royalty as we lower the drawbridge and roll out the red carpet at Hammond Castle Museum!
Let their imaginations awaken as they visit a towering medieval castle filled with antiquities, tease their senses as they try out the whispering gallery in the Library, and inspire their creativity as they glimpse the spirit and vision of one of the nation’s most prolific inventors. Throughout our 2023 season guests can enjoy a completely updated Invention Room, showcasing exciting new perspectives on Hammond’s work as a scientist, inventor and engineer.
Self-guided tours are available from 10am to 3pm, to allow for enough time to tour the Museum. Guests should plan at least 60 minutes to explore the grounds and galleries of this historic museum. Last entrance is 3:15 p.m. Please note that the Museum and grounds close promptly at 4:00 pm. Strollers are not permitted in the Museum and not ideal for use around the grounds. There are many stairs.
