Description
Do you find yourself experiencing sketchbook envy? Are you looking to establish a more consistent sketchbook habit or rekindle your old sketchbook romance? If so, we invite you to join us for the INKTOBER @ CAA Launch Party! Come visit our Kathryn Schultz gallery in Cambridge on Wednesday, September 25 at 7pm, and bring along with your favorite pens and notebooks. We will also bring our preferred supplies and some cool art books about sketching and drawing.
Sketch artist Michelle Stevens will be joining us and will bring along her favorite books and tools. Check out her motion sketches- they are amazing!
While we enjoy snacks and beverages, let's share our favorite tools and inspire each other to create one-sketch-a-day throughout the entire month of October.
For those who might not be familiar with INKTOBER, it's a month-long art challenge created by artist Jake Parker back in 2009. The primary focus of INKTOBER is to improve artistic skills and cultivate positive drawing habits. During the month of October, participants in the INKTOBER challenge create an ink drawing each day based on a given prompt and share it online using the hashtag #inktober.
For our group, we'll be posting under the #CAAinktober2024 hashtag.
We did this last year and it was so much fun!
