When the summer fun is heating up, cool off in Boston's iconic water fountains. From our North End canals to the Chinatown stream, come explore The Greenway!
The Greenway fountains are typically on from late May through mid-October from 9a-11p.
Fountains include:
North Canal Fountain
Dip your toes in a canal that has fun water jets. It’s perfect for small children who just want to get their feet wet, or big kids who want to get drenched.
South Canal Fountain
Dip your toes in a canal that has fun water jets. It’s perfect for small children who just want to get their feet wet, or big kids who want to get drenched.
Abstract Sculpture at Armenian Heritage Park on The Greenway
The Abstract Sculpture is a split dodecahedron sculpture that sits atop a Reflecting Pool at Armenian Heritage Park on The Greenway and is reconfigured each year. The water of the Reflecting Pool washes over its side and re-emerges as a single jet of water at the Labyrinth’s center, representing hope and rebirth.
Labyrinth Fountain
Walk the winding path leading towards the soothing sounds of the bubbling water at the Labyrinth’s center. Relax, meditate, and enjoy.
Rings Fountain
Try to dodge dozens of water jets, or run right through them and cool off on a hot summer day. This signature fountain is a blast for your entire family.
Harbor Fog Sculpture
This contemporary, interactive sculpture takes cool to a new level. Your movement activates a refreshing, foggy harbor mist.
Chinatown Stream
Follow this stream on the edge of Chinatown, exploring a cascading waterfall, bamboo walkway, and a flowing, serpentine river.
