Our Spring program features music by living composers that has enthralled audiences worldwide. Dan Forrest's Requiem for the Living is a lyrical plea for peace and comfort for the living rather than the traditional prayer for the dead. Invocation and Dance, by David Conte, was written for the San Francisco Gay Men's Choir during the AIDS epidemic, and first performed by the Chorus in 2016. Two-time Grammy winner Christopher Tin's Sogno di Volare, (The Dream of Flight) gives wings to the words of Leonardo da Vinci and transcends its origins as a video game theme.
We will be joined by special guests, the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School traveling Chorus, Music Director Ivan Stefanov.
Led by Music Director Pamela Mindell, we will be inspired by our outstanding professional chamber orchestra and soprano Lisa Cooper, well-known for her performances with choral ensembles throughout New England.
