Founded in 1973, the award-winning Blacksmith House Poetry Series brings established and emerging writers of poetry and fiction to Harvard Square. In person readings will take place at 56 Brattle on Mondays at 8pm. Admission is $5, tickets are available at the door.
Katie Peterson
Katie Peterson's latest poetry collection is Fog and Smoke (FSG 2024). She has published poems in recent years in the Atlantic, the New Republic, and the New York Review of Books, among other places. She directs the Creative Writing Program at the University of California at Davis, where she is Professor of English.
Major Jackson
Major Jackson is the author of six books of poetry, most recently Razzle Dazzle: New & Selected Poems (2023). A recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship, Major Jackson lives in Nashville, Tennessee where he is the Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Chair in the Humanities at Vanderbilt University. He serves as the Poetry Editor of The Harvard Review.
